Create Wallets

After onboarding your partner into the system, you can now create wallets for your platform partners.

The required data for creating wallets includes:

  • The Platform Wallet ID (default wallet ID) to which this wallet will belong
  • The Partner's Profile ID
  • The Partner's Payee Bank Account
  • A default payment reference (a description for all wallet payments when not provided)

Each wallet must have an associated Profile ID and Payee Bank Account. Creating a new Partner wallet without this information is not possible.


When creating a new wallet using our Split Account Create Wallet API, the system requires specific details for the wallet. Upon successful creation, the wallet will be set to "Active." Wallets can have only two statuses:

  • Active – The wallet is open and ready to transact funds.
  • Closed – The wallet is closed and can no longer transact funds.

Wallets can only be closed by submitting a request to the Fondy support team.
